The easiest way to order a repeat prescription or book an appointment is through Patient Access.
Simply log in to the online portal and select your chosen option.
Appointments may be made online, by telephone or in person. Please make one appointment for each member of the family who needs to be seen. We try to keep to time but please be patient if someone before you takes longer than planned. Appointments are normally ten minute slots (with a doctor), or 15 minutes (with the nurse) and so if you have a complicated problem, or more than one problem, please ask for a longer appointment. It is practice policy to allow patients to choose whichever doctor they wish to attend in the practice.
The Health Centre is open from 7 am until 7 pm Monday—Friday.
The practice appointments telephone line (0141 201 5520) is open from 9am until 6pm.
Please help us
If you are not able to attend your appointment please let us know in time so that the time can be used for someone else. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment you may be asked to re-book.
Clinic Times
GP and Nurse appointments are normally available between the hours of 8 – 12 noon and 2 – 5 pm. The Receptionist can you tell you what availability we have when you call (0141 201 5520). We try to accommodate your requirements as much as possible.
You do not need to book an appointment simply to order your repeat medication. This can be done instead in a variety of ways – using the right hand side of your script, face to face at the front desk, by dialling 0141 201 5520 between 10.00am – 2.00pm, via the Patient Access app (see above) or by ordering online from this website.
We also offer appointments at our extended hours clinics. The days can change week to week so please contact Reception on 0141 201 5520 to check availability.
Consultation times may vary depending on the needs of the practice.
Cancelled Appointments
It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment. This will allow your appointment to be offered to another patient.
You can cancel appointments via the Patient access app or you can also complete our appointment cancellation form . This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays).
If you are Late
Please attend your appointment on time. If you are late we cannot guarantee you can be seen.
Interpreter
If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist at the time of booking your appointment.
Private Medical Examinations
Medical examinations for special purposes such as pre-employment, fitness to travel, elderly drivers, fitness to undertake sports etc, will require longer than a routine appointment.
These examinations do not form part of NHS Services and you will be charged for any such examination. Please check the fee chargeable when you require to arrange any such examination.
Request for GP Letters/Completion of Forms
If your Doctor has agreed to write a letter for you in connection with your employment, acting as a referee, or for some other specific area, you may be charged for this letter. Please allow at least 3 working days before collecting your letter. If you require this letter urgently please inform your Doctor during your consultation. If you wish your Doctor to complete a form/report for you, there may also be a charge for this. Please allow 48 hours before uplifting your form.
The doctor will advise you of any applicable charges.
